CONGRESSMAN KENNEDY ANNOUNCES CONGRESSIONAL ART COMPETITION WINNERS
Washington, DC – Congressman Joe Kennedy III today announced the winners of the Congressional Art Competition from the 4th District of Massachusetts. Amanda White of Oliver Ames High School in Easton received the ‘Best in Show’ honors and will have her piece, “Clearly Enchanting,” displayed in the Capitol for the next year. Congressman Kennedy also announced runners up in each category, who will have their artwork displayed in the Congressman’s district offices.
“I’m proud to honor these remarkable students for their artistic talent,” said Congressman Kennedy. “The selection panel was deeply impressed by the quality of submissions we received from across the district and commend everyone who participated. I look forward to bringing a little piece of the 4th District down to Washington in the coming weeks.”
The winners were chosen by an independent arts panel, convened by the Congressman. Panelists include: Mim Fawcett, Attleboro Arts Museum; Tracy Hoy Clarke, Independent Art Representative (Brookline); Kris Walden , Hopkinton Center for the Arts; and Tiago Finato, Greater Fall River Art Association.
