CONGRESSMAN KENNEDY STATEMENT ON GUN VIOLENCE RECOMMENDATIONS
Newton, MA – Congressman Joe Kennedy released the following statement today in response to the gun violence reduction proposals issued by President Obama and Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.
?“Over the past decade there have been too many lives lost, families broken and communities shattered by our inability to reasonably restrict access to dangerous weapons. I applaud our President and Governor Patrick for proposing plans to reduce gun violence that are painfully overdue in this country.
We will never fully heal the heartbreak in places like Newtown, Aurora, and Tucson. But we owe it to the memory of those they lost to promise a better future. I look forward to tackling this issue with our President, Governor, and Congress in the days and weeks ahead.”
