KENNEDY DEMANDS MICHAEL PACK’S RESIGNATION
Cites his politicization of the U.S. Agency of Global Media as evidence of his failure to lead
Newton, MA – Congressman Joe Kennedy III today demanded the immediate resignation of U.S. Agency of Global CEO Michael Pack after he indicated that he would not renew visas for foreign reporters. Pack’s recent moves follow a pattern of partisanship at the helm of an independent, non-partisan agency.
“Michael Pack made a disqualifying choice to use the levers of an independent agency to advance Donald Trump’s partisan agenda. Beyond abusing his role in an attempt to amplify the President’s dangerous message around the world, he has used it to advance the President’s anti-immigrant policies by denying visas to international reporters. He had his chance to prove he could lead independently and he failed. He must resign now.”
