Congressman Kennedy Visits 9/11 Memorial and Museum with the House Committee on Homeland Security

Today, Congressman Kennedy released the following statement after a bipartisan visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum with the House Committee on Homeland Security to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and to discuss the cooperation between the committee and local first responders.

“Visiting the 9/11 Memorial and Museum served as a reminder of the terror our nation faced twenty-three years ago, the resilience of the people of New York and the country, and the vital importance of supporting our local first responders,” Congressman Kennedy said. “As the nation commemorates the solemn anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, I am committed to working with my colleagues on the House Committee on Homeland Security to preserve our national security and provide the resources first responders need to protect our communities.”
