WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Tim Kennedy (NY-26) announced the Community Health Center of Buffalo has been awarded $1,799,096 in federal funding through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

“Access to quality, affordable primary healthcare provides for better outcomes and overall community wellness,” said Congressman Kennedy, a licensed occupational therapist. “I commend Dr. Ansari and the Community Health Center of Buffalo team for their ongoing work throughout Western New York.”

The Community Health Center of Buffalo has locations in Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Niagara Falls, and Lockport as well as a mobile unit offering healthcare ranging from primary care and dental services to pediatric medicine and physical therapy.

“We are deeply grateful for Congressman Kennedy’s support in securing federal funding to expand access to quality, affordable healthcare for underserved communities in Western New York,” said Dr. LaVonne Ansari, CEO/executive director of Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. “This continued funding enables our dedicated team to deliver critical services – such as adult and pediatric medicine, dental care, behavioral health, physical therapy, and more – helping families throughout Erie and Niagara Counties lead healthier lives.”
