A Leaked Memo From The Department Of Veteran Affairs Details Plan To Slash Workforce By As Many As 83,000 Employees This Year 

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Tim Kennedy (NY-26) released the following statement as President Trump’s Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is poised to lay off more than 83,000 employees this year, according to a leaked internal VA memo.

“This administration’s latest shameful and unconscionable attack on our veterans is a complete betrayal of our military heroes. Instead of celebrating and honoring our veterans, President Trump and unelected billionaire Elon Musk are gutting the services our veterans rely on. These patriots deserve better than to be treated like second-class citizens. Our veterans deserve a nation that invests in them: their care, their treatment, and their future – just as promised when they answered the call.”
