BUFFALO, NY — Congressman Tim Kennedy (NY-26) released the following statement after voting against the Republican Budget Resolution:

“The Republican Budget Resolution passed today in the House of Representatives begins the process of the largest Medicaid cut since the program’s inception. Make no mistake: this was a vote to cut essential healthcare services for seniors, children, veterans, people with disabilities, and the most vulnerable people in our community - the same populations I worked with as an occupational therapist. They are pushing through these partisan cuts all in an effort to give tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans. My colleagues in the Democratic Caucus stand ready to pass a budget that reflects the priorities and values of the American people.”
