Congressman Kennedy Statement on Trump’s 100th Day in Office
Washington, DC,
April 29, 2025
WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Tim Kennedy (NY-26) released the following statement on the 100th day of President Trump’s second term: “Today marks 100 days of chaos, broken promises, and reckless leadership from President Trump. Instead of addressing the concerns of working families, like skyrocketing grocery costs and the lack of accessible healthcare, the President has governed through tantrums, retaliations, and lies. He has trampled on the Constitution, undermined democratic institutions, and put himself and his cronies ahead of helping American families. Rather than making life more affordable for the middle class, President Trump handed the keys to the United States Government over to unelected billionaires and special interests. He and his Republican enablers in Congress are advancing tax breaks for the ultra-rich at all costs, at the expense of dismantling critical services for working families. President Trump has ignited a global trade war that is driving prices up, crippling local businesses, and punishing our closest allies – including Canada, a critical economic partner for Western New York. We are just 100 days in, and it is clear that Donald Trump didn’t run for president with our interests in mind – only his own. Working families across this country deserve real leadership, not a presidency built on confusion, cruelty, and corruption. I will continue fighting to hold this administration accountable and to build an economy that puts working families first.” ### |
