Congressman Kennedy Denounces Trump Administration Move Eliminating Collective Bargaining for TSA Workforce

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Tim Kennedy (NY-26) released the following statement after the Trump Administration’s announcement eliminating the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) collective bargaining agreement for Transportation Security Officers (TSOs):

“The Trump Administration has proven once again that it does not stand with working people – this time by stripping the collective bargaining rights of 47,000 Transportation Security Officers. This right was hard-won and long overdue, and revoking it will only weaken morale, worsen retention, and put even more strain on these hardworking public servants. This unacceptable and reckless action will have serious consequences for workers and travelers, jeopardizing aviation security and passenger safety. I urge the courts to deliver justice and overturn this action immediately.”
